ABOUT ME

Nils Ek

Game Programmer

I first got an interest in programming at around 8 years old building my own games in Scratch, a block based programming language. I later found people in my hometown who knew a lot more about programming than I did. Over a long time I learned from them, summer camps outside of projects and from projects that I was either making on my own or with others.

I have also played percussion from a young age and have played in a jazz band, a symphony orchestra and more.

I am currently studying at The Game Assembly Stockholm as a Game Programmer. I am really happy about this school, not only have I learned so much about programming, teamwork and game development, but the community here is very tight knit, friendly and they are amazing team members!

In the future I am looking to develop my skills further, learning from others in the industry and trying to aid my coworkers, both other programmers and other disciplines.

I am part of The Game Assembly’s internship program. As per the agreement between the Games Industry and The Game Assembly, neither student nor company may be in contact with one another regarding internships before April 15. Any internship offers can be made on April 27th, at the earliest.
